Administration
Peter M. Schoenholtz, LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker, is
President of the School and Director. He is administrator of the school and supervises the clinical program, working directly with students and families, and collaborating with other mental health professionals.
Since his Masters degree from Columbia University, he has been a licensed clinical social worker in New York and Connecticut for over twenty-five
years, specializing in children and adolescents, and their
families. In addition to being Director of Westfield, he has a
private practice for the evaluation and treatment of mental
disorders in patients of all ages. He has
also been the consulting director of social work services, as
well as a corporate director, at Rye Hospital Center, a
psychiatric hospital in Rye, New York. For many years, he has
consulted as a "preferred provider" at a number of exclusive
private boarding schools that asked him to work with
their students. This expert-level "field" work helped form his knowledge base for
the development and creation of The Westfield Day School, in 2000.
Faculty
The consulting and advisory faculty
of Westfield consists of licensed professionals in psychiatry,
psychology, neuropsychology, substance abuse and addictions,
occupational therapy, and art therapy. Specialists in learning
disabilities and educational planning and placement are also
available to work with students, faculty and families.
